Description
The USP Type VII woven gauze sponges are sterile, made of 100% cotton, and ideal for dressing and caring for general wounds. Lint and loose threads are reduced thanks to the C fold design. The packaging is clean, free of debris, and the edges are folded to prevent unraveling. The easy-open envelopes are carefully sealed to keep out dust and other contaminants. Sterile 2s are packed in a coated paper envelope to reduce fiber debris. The trays on the sterile 10s are robust and rigid.
The 12-ply of the gauze makes it an excellent absorbent. For quick and simple handling, the tray has ten sterile sponges. Sterility aids in preventing patient-to-patient contamination. The well-woven sponge prevents vertical wicking and offers excellent absorption. It can be used for other things besides dressing, like cleaning and preparing the wound.
Saline in individual sterile cups can be used to irrigate the wound while it is being dressed. The Curity sponge, cotton sterile gauze, has a soft 12-ply construction and is hypoallergenic. It comes in a sterile plastic tray. It doesn''t cause allergies and improves HCPs'' ability to handle materials in an emergency for faster wound dressing. The gauze is made entirely of superior US-grown cotton and is white in color. The rigid, square, sterile plastic tray that holds the woven gauze fits it comfortably.
The Curity gauze contains PHMB (Polyhexamethylene Biguanide). It is not only hypoallergenic but also resists bacterial colonization within the dressing. It reduces bacterial penetration through the dressing and has a broad-spectrum effectiveness index against gram+, gram-, and fungi or yeast microorganisms like MRSA and VRE. Limits Cross Contamination from and to the patient, clinicians, and environment. Curity sterile cotton gauze is sold as UOM 10/Tray, 10/packet, or 1280 each/case.
